The purpose of this paper is to clarify the structural characteristics maintenance system Edo Castle moats based on historical records for Fushin-bugyo’s daily operations. First, in order set subject paper's analysis, spatial configuration castle examined and management responsibilities jurisdictional divisions are organized. Second, multi-layered clarified from aspect by fushin-bugyo actual labor. In conclusion, its duration discussed.
